GW3 Is Isak back?.

Gameweek 3 was a proper rollercoaster from start to finish. Liverpool finally got off the mark under Andoni Iraola on Friday night, with Alexander Isak scoring twice inside the opening ten minutes to see off Ipswich 2-0 — a huge relief after back-to-back draws to start the season. Saturday brought a string of stalemates, with Newcastle and Bournemouth sharing four goals, Brighton and Leeds cancelling each other out, and Forest and Tottenham playing out a goalless draw that will have done neither side’s confidence much good. Man City kept ticking along with a routine win over Coventry, while Crystal Palace pulled off a fine away win at Fulham, and Hull and Villa couldn’t find a way through each other.

Sunday, though, was where the real drama lived. Everton and Manchester United served up an absolute classic, with Bryan Mbeumo giving United the lead before a stoppage-time screamer from debutant Ainsley Maitland-Niles snatched a dramatic 2-2 draw for the Toffees, cancelling out what United had thought was a late winner from Sesko. Then came the big one: Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in a proper London derby, with Morgan Rogers stunning the Emirates inside two minutes before Kai Havertz levelled and Martin Odegaard struck a sensational winner just after half-time to keep the Gunners perfect through three games. Arsenal and Man City remain the only two unbeaten sides in the league, and with Chelsea now showing real teeth under Xabi Alonso despite the defeat, this early title picture is shaping up to be a proper scrap.
