Injury Roulette: Gameweek 10 Is a Game of Who’s still fit?

Fantasy League Gameweek 11 kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea hosting Manchester United, and both sides have plenty of absentees. Chelsea will be without Pedro for a few more weeks, as well as James and Martínez, while United have good news in Bruno Fernandes, who looks set to return after clear-the-air talks with Michael Carrick. Kobbie Mainoo is back in training too, though Sesko is out for a long spell. The 3pm slate brings Manchester City against Brighton, three days after City knocked the Seagulls out of the EFL Cup, with Minteh and Wieffer back from injury for Hurzeler’s side. Elsewhere, Bournemouth host Leeds, DCL and Okafor both had good weeks in training, Brentford welcome Forest, Coventry face Sunderland, and Hull take on Ipswich in a game that could go either way. Tottenham host Crystal Palace in the evening, with Bentancur serving the last game of his ban and Udogie a major doubt, before Villa host Fulham under the lights, will Man in the mirror Jackson continue to thrill(er) Villa fans.

The headline act is Sunday’s 4:30pm game at Anfield, where Liverpool host Arsenal. The Reds are in fine form, and Florian Wirtz is fit after his ankle worry, though Frimpong is out and Szoboszlai remain a doubt, with Isak set to continue up front, finally showing glimpses of his price tag. Arsenal arrive with real problems on the flanks, as Bukayo Saka and William Saliba are injured, Max Dowman is suspended, and Eberechi Eze is their only fully fit senior winger. Makueke we suspect will be a late fitness test call. Finally, Newcastle host Everton on Monday night to close the round, giving a Magpies side who just won at Palace the chance to move further up the table.
