The Premier League returns tonight with two huge fixtures that could shape both the title race and the European places. Bournemouth host Manchester City in what may be one of the defining matches of the season, especially with Pep Guardiola preparing for an emotional farewell after a decade in charge at City. Chelsea also take on Tottenham in a fiery London derby, with Spurs still battling to secure their position in the Premier League, while Chelsea look to finish a difficult campaign on a high.
Then we have the big Sunday finale. Arsenal away to Palace and City home to Villa, if might not be relevant after tonight, if City don’t beat Bournemouth, but you never know! Remembering this weekend, you’ll only be able to select 11 players, so who will be your defensive picks, midfield dynamo’s and striking threats?
Lots of equally balanced sides, Brighton at home to Man Utd, with little to play for, can Bruno break the assist record, got to be worth a punt, surely. Burnley v Wolves, well Wolves are terribl;e away and Burnley aren’t much better at home. Goal fest or bore fest?
Fulham at home to a Newcastle team under the the returning ‘other’ Bruno, who seems to be dragging Newcastle up the table again. Liverpool and Brentford, Liverpool wimper over the line to CL qualification glory, or will their old keep keep them at bay? Will Salah actually get to say goodbye?
City v Villa – After Villa’s exploits in the Europa League Final and having secured qualification for the CL next season, I suspect this might be a large home win! Forest and Bournemouth, both playing great football, I thought Forest were especially unlucky last weekend, especially having not been given a certain handball. Sunderland home win against Chelsea, maybe? Before Alonso comes in next season.
