Hi managers and chairs, while the Premier League and our core game takes a week’s break, the FA Cup takes over with week 1 of our separate FA Cup leagues. A reminder that only points scored in the FA Cup count towards this competition, and as many teams (both FL and EPL) have lost touch with the leaders, this competition affords them a chance to redeem their season. Filling your roster with players from teams with favourable draws (and who are likely to play their first team squads) can pay dividends.
As a reminder, no new players will be added between 1300 on the first game of the week, which is THURSDAY 9th Jan and 0900 the day after the last game of the game week, which is Monday 13th Jan this round as Monday evening’s Millwall v Dagenham and Redbridge fixture is not relevant in our game. A raft of squad players who may only feature in the cup can be expected to be seen on the 13th, if they satisfy our criteria to be added (a full half of play or any points are registered against them).
