Having conceded seven at home on Tuesday night, perhaps it’s best that Tottenham are away for their next fixture.
And thankfully for them, they face – in theory – relatively amenable opposition.
Graham Potter’s Brighton haven’t won since the opening day of the season (and that was against rock-bottom Watford) and haven’t yet showed the form to reflect the Englishman’s standing as a coach.
The hosts are desperately short on goals (only five in seven matches) and with Spurs surely keen to close ranks at the back, it might be a week to gamble on Mauricio Pochettino’s defence notching a clean sheet.
It’s a crucial clash at The London Stadium as West Ham and Crystal Palace face off. They have both made impressive starts to the season with three wins each, and a win for either here could propel them up into the top four.

And there are surely more to come with Sebastien Haller looking as clinical as his £45m summer transfer fee suggested.
From Palace, it’s their backline that’s been so impressive. The Hodgson effect. As such, Vicente Guaita is an under the radar bet for your ‘keeper position, and Gary Cahill – voted Eagles fans’ player of the month for September – probably has more shutouts to come.
Unlike West Ham, whose big-money signings are beginning to gel under Manuel Pellegrini, Everton can’t seem to click no matter what Marco Silva tries.
It doesn’t get any easier for his side this weekend as they travel to Turf Moor. Sean Dyche will certainly have identified the Toffees’ defensive frailties and Ashley Barnes could well increase his already impressive tally of four goals and 12 Fantasy League points.
Saturday also sees the return of Brendan Rodgers to Anfield. He will undoubtedly be fired up for his side to put in a display appropriate to their current league position – and will take encouragement from the holes RB Salzburg found in the Reds’ defence in midweek.
So too no doubt will Jamie Vardy – and where possible, it’s worth considering including the evergreen frontman in your side given his effectiveness away from home.
All of which brings us to the final game of the weekend at St James Park. It’s perhaps too early for sweeping verdicts yet, but if Manchester United lose here to a struggling Magpies then Ole Solskjaer really will feel the pressure start to crank up on his tenure.
It’s already their worst start to a Premier League season and it’s unlikely they will explode into form here.
Fabian Schar may therefore be a savvy selection and – handily for Fantasy League managers – is a threat at the other end too.
